Many of our projects
is government project with consolidation whereas during that time there were less company with similar
services. The main concern is aggravated with Kepres
No. 05 / 1985 regarding the scrapping of vessels above 25 years old. However we
see this as an opportunity with the growing number of the vessels number.
During this time, we consolidate with PT.PAL and PT. KOJA BAHARI to built the vessels in north korea.
As there was optimism in the growth of the market, thus the company enters its
growth stage.
86-88
Indonesia enters an economic crisis that force
the government to devaluate the value of Rupiah.
Furthermore, with capital flows to foreign country it worsened the economic
condition and our company was forced into deciding shrinkage. Most of our
project comes from government sectors.
88-90
Major transformation
happen in our company. For the first time,
we use the system of Single Business Unit (SBU) instead of
Total Logistic Solution (TLS) that figures the importance of focusing
only project at a time.
90-95
The growth of the
company forces us to recruit more experts in our manpower to succeed.
Leadership and management of the company has become the crucial point at this
time. After recruitment, we have the manpower to increase our competency and
professionalism. Highlighted project this era is Gulf Resources Pte. Ltd. Project in Maltak in natuna archipelago with project valued around 5 million US
dollars. Currently Gulf is known as CNOOC SES Ltd.
95-98
Highlighted project of the year is the erection of Barito Bridge with length of 1200 meters which
happened to be the longest bridge of
that time. The project use 100% of local manpower with only help of 2 expatriates as
supervisors. The project was finished successfully build and finished ahead of
the schedule.
1998-2000
Significant event in
the year is that Indonesia
entered a chaotic turbulence in the political sector with the downfall of
previous President Soeharto. This cause a very
significant devaluation of Rupiah that lead to many collapsing sectors especially finance sector.
2000-2005
Globalization
demands the increase in competency especially in Information Technology (TI).
The usage of this facility enhances the success of market penetration. IT
system increases the reach of the marketing and reduces the barrier to
communication with customers. Transfer of technology makes difficult projects
easier to handle. International relations have become the backbone that
supports the company success. Industries and Oil and Gas sectors becomes the
target market as their activities has increased in the period. To reach their
expectation of work, standardization becomes very crucial. International
Organization of Standardization (ISO) and Health Safety and Environment (HSE)
is a prerequisite to cooperate with the company.
2005-2008
The highlight of
this year is the global economic crisis that started by the sudden collapse of
American Domestic Economic. The after effect event felt in
the Asia pacific area. The competency
in financial sector has become crucial especially after the government made a
stricter financial policy in every sector. Foreign competition also increased
as many trade barriers have been lifted in the era of globalization. To reduce
the damage to the domestic market, cabotage system is
introduced. However, it only creates a gap in the services. Seeing this
opportunity, partnership with foreign company has become a favorable option.
2009 Onwards
Long term crisis has
accelerated the efficiency of work of the company. However, the crisis has led
to uncertain future prediction; making long term planning in the financing
sector has become very difficult. Priority is now pointed at the market
competence and intelligent as well as the ability to read the strength of the
competitor. Customer satisfactions have become the source and the peak of
achievements. The mobilization of all resource focusing it to the customer
followed by the dedication and strong will have become the target of the
company. We, Board of Director with every Staff and Employees, will give
everything in supporting of the project execution with the highest commitment,
helped HSE and ISO to achieve Zero defeat in our services. Reading the macro
economic movement becomes simpler with the help of pulling all facilities and
operation research to increase the service to our customer. It is very assuring
that our company could walk hand-to-hand with our entire customer towards a
bright future in front of us.
